** The completed Application Form, together with the required non-refundable registration fee (or proof of payment of the fee), should then be handed in at or emailed to the school

Entry into Grade 8 :

** Please remember to attach a photograph of your daughter to the application form.
Conditions Of Entry :
1. This form must be accompanied by a non-refundable registration fee of R350.
2. Acceptance of this form does not imply final acceptance of the applicant. Acceptance depends on: * the results of an entrance assessment (where applicable) * the availability of a place * the applicant being of a suitable age for the requested grade (* see end of page) * the admissions policy set by the Herschel Council from time to time.
3. This application must be accompanied by a copy of * the applicant’s ID * applicant’s latest school report (where applicable) * a valid study permit in the case of non-South African citizens * proof of legal guardianship (where applicable)
4. A non-refundable Acceptance of Place and Development Fee is payable at time of acceptance (R17 000 from Pre-Nursery to Grade 9, R10 000 for Grade 10, R8 000 for Grade 11 and R6 000 for Grade 12). No pupil will be admitted to school until this fee is paid in full and the Contract of Enrolment has been completed and signed. Note that the Contract of Enrolment renders the applicant’s parents/legal guardians liable for payment of the first term’s fees in advance, whether or not she actually attends school.
Entry into Grades 9 to 11 :
** If your daughter wishes to enter Herschel in any other grade, she may be asked to sit an Entrance Assessment if it is deemed necessary.
** There is usually an appointment to see the Head before a girl is accepted.
** Should the School offer your daughter a place and you accept, you will be required to complete an Acceptance Contract and pay the non-refundable Deposit.
** Please attach a photograph of your daughter to the application form.
