Herschel Brendalyn Stempel Old Herschelian Scholarship

** Scholarships are only available to Grade 8 girls entering Herschel for the first time.

The following scholarships are available :

Academic Scholarships

** Academic Scholarships are based on the results of the Entrance Assessment.
** Although they are awarded primarily on academic performance, qualities such as character, leadership potential, cultural and sporting ability are taken into consideration.

Music Scholarships

** Musically talented girls, intending to take Music as a Matriculation subject, are invited to apply for a Music Scholarship and then audition at the school.
** Applications must be accompanied by a teacher’s report and recommendation. Contact the Department of Music for further details. (021 670 7539)

All-Round Scholarships

** Pupils who have excelled in the sporting and/or cultural field and have a good academic record may apply for this scholarship.
** The sport must be a recognised school sport such as cross-country, swimming, hockey, netball, squash, basketball, tennis and water polo.

The Brendalyn Stempel Old Herschelian Scholarship :
** The Brendalyn Stempel Old Herschelian Scholarship is available to the daughter of a past pupil who is not in a financial position to afford the full school fees.

** The Brendalyn Stempel All-Round Scholarship is available to a pupil from a previously disadvantaged group, with good academic and sporting or cultural ability and where there is financial need.

** Scholarships are awarded for the pupils’ careers up to Grade 12, subject to satisfactory performance.
** Application forms for Scholarships may be obtained from the Admissions Office (021 670 7518).

** You may make an appointment to see the campus at any time. (021 670 7500)
** At the Information Evening, on 15 February 2017 at 18:00, all questions regarding Curriculum, Admissions and Scholarships will be answered.
** No bookings necessary.

** Our next Open Evening, when parents and daughters may visit our campus to see lessons and sport in action, will be on 23 February 2017 between 18:00 and 20:00.
** The Entrance Assessment will be on Saturday 4 March 2017.

** Please Note That Candidates Have To Be Registered For The Assessment.
** Registration Closes On 1 March.
