Kearsney College Scholarship Application

Academic Scholarship
** The academic ethos at the College is as compeitive as the one enjoyed in sport and cultural arenas.
Minimum Criteria :
Academic scholarships :
** A history of outstanding academic achievement (at least 80% average)
Mathematics scholarships :
** A history of outstanding academic achievement (at least 85% average)
** Applicants must attend the Open Weekend on Saturday 17 March to Sunday 18 March 2018 to write the entrance examinations.
** Closing date for Academic Scholarship Applications is Monday 12 February 2018.

Music Scholarship
** Auditions will be held in the Music Auditorium during Open Weekend on the morning of Sunday 18 March 2018.
** Audition times will be provided to you by the Music Department the week before Open Weekend.
Minimum criteria :
** The expectation is that the applicant should be at least Grade 3 level for chosen instrument/s and/or voice.
** Applicants must attend the Open Weekend on Saturday 17 March to Sunday 18 March 2018 to write the entrance examinations and be auditioned.
** Closing date for Music Scholarship Applications is Monday 12 February 2018
Applicants need to prepare the following :
** One piece on each instrument/voice which the applicant can present – please let us know in advance if you need us to provide an accompanist;
** The emphasis is on adding value to the Kearsney College Music Department – on stage as well as academically;
** Aural tests – clapping rhythms, matching pitch, etc.
** Successful recipients are required to be committed to musical activities in the College, including choir and orchestra (if applicable), and to choose Music in their subject package and study Music at Kearsney College to Grade 12 level.
