Want to know your application status? Go to the official Web page Click the Student tool option  click Check Application Status button, Status screen will be displayed. Then Enter your details and get your status.

Execute the recommended action, if any :
Status – Description :
A – Admitted Senior Student
B – SAQA evaluation outstanding
C – Cancelled Application
D – No decision senior student – awaiting faculty selection
E – Conditionally Accepted postgrad – pending prerequisite qualification
G – Admitted 1st year new students (You can expect your official admission letter via mail in due course)

H – Admitted based on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
I – Testing and Interviews, see cut.ac.za/selectiontests/
K – Rejected, no prerequisite subject
L – Selection test (no interview), see cut.ac.za/selectiontests/
N – No decision new student – awaiting faculty selection
O – No decision after closing date
P – Rejected, failed final selection

Q – Provisionally accepted pending final matric results/equivalence
R – Interview for marketing
S – Selection testing for Project Management, see cut.ac.za/selectiontests/
T – Provisionally accepted INTERNATIONAL student (1st years and Seniors)

2. If I skipped a semester or year must I reapply?
Yes, if you have skipped a semester or a year, you must apply and pay the application fee.

3. How do I apply for continued studies 2nd Semester?
Semester 1 students will be auto promoted to Semester 2 (condition: same programme and qualification). BTech studies: must complete form, and pay the application fee.

1. If my application for admission of a particular course is rejected because minimum requirements are not met and I have a student number, Does it mean that I have to re-apply or the expectation just to change the course?

2. I applied in CUT, but when I check my application status, shows no result, this is so confusing. Even till now, I haven’t received an acceptance letter (or) email from the campus. Now the question is, how I will know that I am accepted (or) not?

3. I always check my application status but it keeps saying selection test code L, and I have written that selection test on August this year. So, what can I do to know my application status?

    I heard CUT responds in 4 to 6 weeks after the application date… I applied in 29 September 2021 and when I check my status it still says “(code:N)”… what do i do???
