Terms And Conditions :
Introduction :
** The Expresso Turkish Airlines Competition (Competition) will be run by Cardova Trading (Pty) Ltd in association with Turkish Airlines (Organisers/we/us/our).
** Each person entering the Competition (entrants/you/your) and/or accepting a Prize in terms of this Competition agrees and accepts that the Competition rules as set out in these terms and conditions are binding on him/her.
Competition Period :
** Entries for the Competition will open at 6h00 on Tuesday, 31 January 2017 and will close at 09h00 on Monday, 13 February 2017 (Competition Period).
Who can enter :
In order to be eligible to enter the Competition :
** you must be a legal, permanent resident of the Republic of South Africa; and have a valid South African passport with at least 6 months before experation.
** Participants must be 18 (eighteen) years or older
** you must be a natural person.
Notwithstanding clause 3.1, you are not eligible to enter this Competition if :
** you are a director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Organisers, or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Organisers;
** you are an immediate family member of any of the persons specified in clause 3.2.1; or
** you are a supplier of goods or services in connection with the Competition.
How to Enter :
** Tell us why you want to #MeetInHavana by replying on the Competition post on Expresso’s Facebook (@expressoshow.sabc3) or Twitter page (@expressoshow) with a photo of you and the person you like to meet there during the Competition Period.
** Once you meet the requirements set out in clause 3 above and this clause 4, you will automatically be entered into the Competition.
** There is no restriction on the number of times you may enter, provided that each entry is unique (i.e. not the same answer and picture).
** No automated entries will be allowed. Entries must be made manually by a natural person.
** If your entry is submitted in a manner that in the sole discretion of the Organisers will provide you with an unfair advantage over other entrants, you will be disqualified from the Competition.
** You are required to attend to the cost for your entry, including standard internet costs.
How the winners are determined :
** On 13 February 2017, a panel of judges who are appointed by us will select 1 (one) person (Winner) from all valid entries as the winner of the prize herein. The Winner will be the entrant who posted the most romantic, inspiring and/or interesting entry determined in the sole and absolute discretion of the judges. Confirmation of the Winner is subject to 5.2 and 7.2.
** We will notify the Winner by commenting on the Winner’s entry post by 12h00 on 13 February 2017 to request a contact number. The Winner will be required to provide an electronic copy of his/her identification document within 2 (two) hours from being requested by us, failing which the Winner will forfeit the Prize and have no claim against us.
** If a Winner does not reply to the notification message sent by us by 14h00 on 13 February 2017, that Winner will forfeit the Prize and will have no claim against us. In the event of a forfeiture as contemplated herein, we shall have the right to select a different entrant on the same conditions, except that each further person selected will be required to reply to the notification with his/her contact number within 1 (one) hour of the notification message being sent.
** We will further announce the Winner live on the Expresso morning show on 14 February 2017 before 9H00.
The Prizes :
The Winner will receive a trip (Trip/Prize) for the Winner and his/her partner to Havana, Cuba, which includes :
** economy return flights for the Winner and his/her partner from OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg, Cape Town International Airport or King Shaka International Airport, Durban to Havana, Cuba on Turkish Airlines;
** USD 124.00 (one hundred and twenty-four United States Dollars) spending money for the couple per day, which will be paid into the bank account of the Winner at least 7 (seven) days prior to the departure for the Trip; and
** Accommodation, including breakfast for 4 (four) nights – including hotel transfers in Havana.
** The Prize excludes all items not mentioned in clause 6.1 and may differ from images or items used in marketing material for the Competition.
** We will contact the Winner within 21 (twenty-one) days from determination of the Winner to provide all necessary information to redeem the Prize.
** The Trip must be redeemed during the month of May 2017 and the Winner must confirm dates when he/she wish to take the Trip by 10 April 2017, failing which the Winner will forfeit the Prize.
** The Prize, or any part thereof, may not be exchanged for cash any other item. Prizes are not transferable. We reserve the right to substitute the Prize, or part thereof, with any other prize of a similar commercial value.
