Entry Details :
** Our 2017 Wildlife Photographic Competition closes on 31 April 2017.
** You enter by posting your favourite Kariega wildlife photo onto our Facebook page.

** We have included a new video category for 2017.
** Enter your Kariega safari video by uploading it to YouTube and posting the link onto our Facebook page.
** We can’t wait to see what you captured through your lens.
** Kariega Game Reserve has become renowned for it’s memorable elephant sightings, which is evident from the quality of the photographs of the various herds entered in our 2017 Wildlife Photographic Competition.
** Relaxed Elephants in Eastern Cape Wilderness
** The greater Kariega wilderness is a haven for elephants and they are very relaxed in their environment. It is common for our guests to sit quietly on the game drive vehicle amongst these gentle giants as they eat, play and tend to their young – sometimes coming so close to the vehicle that you spontaneously stop breathing for a moment! Of course this close proximity makes for great photography.

New Video Category in Kariega’s 2017 Facebook Photo Competition :
** We were so inspired by Connor’s video that we have decided to open a new category in Kariega’s 2017 Facebook Photographic Competition.
The two existing categories are :
1. Best Wildlife Photograph – voted for by our panel of judges.
2. Audience Favourite Wildlife Photograph – voted for by our Facebook community.
The new category will be :
3. Best Kariega Safari Video – voted for by our panel of judges.
Three Easy Steps to Enter Video into 2017 Photo Competition :
There are three easy steps to enter your video into the 2017 competition.
1. Upload your video to YouTube.
2. Make sure the title of your video includes Kariega Game Reserve.
3. Post a link to your video to the Kariega Facebook page.
** This new category of the competition opens on 1 October 2016 and closes at the end of April 2017.
** The winner will get the opportunity to visit Kariega again and receive a complimentary and fully inclusive, two night stay for two people at our Ukhozi Lodge.
How to Enter if you have Already Uploaded a Video to YouTube :
** If you have already uploaded a video to YouTube like Connor Mcloughlin, please ensure that you have included Kariega Game Reserve in your title and then share the link to your video on our Facebook page before the end of April 2017.
** You will then be in the running to be our first ever winner of the Best Video category in our 2017 Kariega Facebook Photo Competition!
** We are super excited to see the creative expressions of your Kariega safaris.
