KFC Summer Buckets Competition Rules
1. Competition Period :
** The Competition will commence at 00:01 on 29 November 2016 and will end at 23:59 on 09 January 2017 (“Competition Period”). No entries will be permitted after the end of the Competition Period.

2. Eligible entrants :
2.1. In order to be eligible for participation in this Competition, an entrant must :
2.1.1. be 18 (eighteen) years of age or older;
2.1.2. be ordinarily resident in South Africa;
2.1.3. be in possession of a valid identity document or passport;
2.1.4. be willing to provide the Organisers with their personal information including, but not limited to, full name/s and surname, identity number, age, banking details, physical residential address and mobile telephone number;
2.1.5. hold a valid South African bank account in his/her own name;
2.1.6. not be an employee of the Organisers or relative of such employee; and
2.1.7. undertake to abide by these Rules and the General Promotional Competition Rules, failing which, the winner shall forfeit the prize on the grounds of ineligibility. Each entrant represents and warrants that by entering in or participating in this Competition, he/she has full eligibility to do so. The Organisers reserve the right to request proof that entrants have met any or all of these eligibility requirements.
3. Entry into the Competition :
3.1. To enter the Competition and stand a chance of winning the prize set out in paragraph 4.1 below, eligible entrants will be required to make a single purchase of any KFC Bucket (9 piece (product code: ALA1005); 15 piece (product code: ALA1007); or 21 piece (product code: ALA1008)) (each, a “KFC Bucket”) at any KFC Store (“Purchase”).
3.2. Upon completion of the Purchase, entrants will be issued with a receipt (till slip) displaying a unique 16-digit USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) code (“USSD Code”).
3.3. Entrants will then be required to enter the USSD Code on their mobile device as indicated and follow the on-screen prompts providing answers to a maximum of 3 (three) questions regarding, amongst others, the entrant’s age group, gender and a request for permission by the entrant for the Organisers to communicate with him/her in future.
3.4. Entry via USSD will be charged at 20c/20sec (twenty cents per twenty seconds), provided that the total cost of entry into the Competition will not exceed R1.50 (one Rand and fifty cents).
3.5. Multiple entries will be permitted for the Competition, subject to each entry being submitted separately in respect of separate purchases of a KFC Bucket during the Competition Period, subject to the following :
3.5.1. entrants are only eligible to stand a chance of winning 1 (one) Cash Prize (as defined below) during the Competition Period;
3.5.2. valid entries not selected at a Daily Lucky Draw shall be carried over and be eligible for the subsequent Daily Luck Draws thereafter;
3.5.3. no more than 2 (two) valid entries per MSISDN (the number that uniquely identifies a subscriber on a mobile network) per day during the Competition Period shall be permitted;
3.5.4. the number of valid entries permitted per entrant or as a hole during the Competition Period shall be at the Organisers’ sole discretion. However, the number of valid entries will not increase an entrant’s chances of winning any of the Daily Cash Prizes; and
3.5.5. high-usage entrants (i.e. entrants submitting a disproportionately high number of entries) will be automatically flagged, and their user behaviour examined by the Organisers for possible patterns of abuse.
3.6. Entrants may enter the Competition each time they make a purchase of a KFC Bucket, by following the steps set out in clauses 3.1 to 3.4 above and subject to clause 3.5 above.
4. Nature of Daily Cash Prize and Daily Cash Prize allocation :
4.1. Entrants stands a chance of winning 1 (one) of 42 (forty-two) cash prizes of R10,000.00 (ten thousand Rand) (“Daily Cash Prizes”) for each day during the Competition Period (i.e. 42 (forty-two) Daily Cash Prizes in total).
4.2. The winners of the Daily Cash Prizes will be randomly selected from valid entries by way of the Daily Lucky Draws, with one such Daily Lucky Draw taking place on each day during the Competition Period. The Daily Lucky Draws will be facilitated by Yonder Media Proprietary Limited, Southdowns Office Park, corner Karee and John Vorster roads, Irene. In the event that the Daily Lucky Draw is delayed for any reason whatsoever (including technical issues), such Daily Lucky Draw shall be carried over to the following day or as soon as possible thereafter.
5. Winners :
5.1. Following the Daily Lucky Draws (as set out in clause 4.2 above), the winners of the Daily Cash Prizes (as described in clause 4.1 above) will, during weekdays, be contacted telephonically by 13:00 on the day after the relevant Daily Lucky Draw and if the relevant Daily Lucky Draw took place during a weekend or public holiday, within 72 (seventy-two) hours thereafter. The aforesaid telephonic notifications shall be recorded for record purposes.
5.2. Should a winner not be contactable by the Organisers within 2 (two) business days following the telephonic notifications referred to in clause 5.1 above, such winner will forfeit his/her prize and the Organisers shall conduct an additional Daily Lucky Draw (as per clause 4 (Nature of Daily Cash Prize and Daily Cash Prize allocation) above) for purposes of allocating a winner of the Daily Cash Prize where a winner is uncontactable as per this clause 5.2.
When will the winners be notified?
