GrandWest Open Mic Jazz Singing Competition  :

Entrants Criteria :
A non-professional singer is defined as :
1. Sole source of income is not yet from singing;
2. Does not yet dedicate his/her time to generating income from singing;

3. This person may currently play in a band but generates income from sources other than from the music industry as a singer;
4. This person must have aspirations of becoming a professional singer;
5. Someone who has not released an album that has received airplay on radio.

For example :
a) Is a full time student, but sings with a band;
b) Is employed full-time (non-music related) but sings with a band.

** There’ll be two audition rounds at Golden Valley Casino in Worcester, on the 1st and 8th September – limited to 30 entries per night.
** Auditions take place each Wednesday from 17th August to 7th September at GrandWest Jackson Hall.
** Only the first 30 people to register at GrandWest Jackson Hall, between 7 and 8 PM on Wednesdays, will have the chance to perform!
