** We are looking for experienced Full-time permanent Web Publishing and Interactive Media as well as Print Publishing lecturer to join our creative team.
** In addition to relevant knowledge and industry experience (min. 2-3 years), the ideal candidate would need to have a reliable and professional work ethic, and must be able to work independently as well as within a team environment.

** Together with facilitating training modules, specifically in our Higher Certificate Programme in Web Publishing and Interactive Media and our Higher Certificate Programme in Print Publishing, the trainer will also be expected to revise and update lecturing materials, as well as compile new materials for new courses.
** The successful candidate will also serve as the Academic Head of the Institution.

Job purpose :
** Academic delivery of digital design curriculum to ensure higher education students are guided and supported in their learning and achievement of subject outcomes

Education required :
** BA Degree with major in Web Development or Design, Visual Communication, Graphic Design or related disciplines

Key performance area :
** Teaching curriculum outcomes as per contract hours
** Briefing students for assignments and projects
** Marking assessments and providing feedback
** Presenting class marks and feedback to the head of programme
** Actively engaging with current trends in teaching and learning strategies

Requirements :
Functional competencies :
HTML4 & CSS2 Essential Skills – Minimum Requirements:
** Expert experience in Website Design and Development
** Experience in HTML emailers
** Experience in eBook development using HTML4 & CSS2

HTML5 & CSS3 / Responsive Design – Minimum Requirements:
** In-depth knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
** Knowledge of web standards
** Experience in Responsive Design
** Experience in Animation using HTML5 & CSS3

WordPress – Minimum Requirements:
** In-depth knowledge of HTML and CSS
** PHP experience
** Expert knowledge of WordPress theming conventions and template tags

Preparing HTML Files for ePub format (.epub) – Minimum Requirements:
** Content development for delivery on Kindle (.epub & .mobi format)
** Troubleshooting layout using stylesheets
** Unpacking and re-zipping ePub files

Testing on devices:
** A good grasp of Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign is essential.
** Experience in Motion Graphics (After Effects) or Video Editing (Premiere) would be advantageous

Work experience required :
** Three years (minimum) relevant industry/lecturing experience
** Applicants must present a portfolio that showcases various interactive technologies, including HTML, CSS and Action Script/JavaScript. Strong aesthetic, creative, and user experience design skills must be evident.

Remuneration :
