What is SAFRIPOL Community Bursary?

Applications are invited for SAFRIPOL Community Bursary Scheme 2024. Students who completed matric in 2023 and current Tertiary Students are invited to submit applications for the Safripol Community Bursary Scheme for the 2024 academic year. Applicants must be South African citizens. Closing date for all applications is 30th June 2024.

Who Can Apply For SAFRIPOL Community Bursary?

1.The bursary is open to students intending to pursue or continue tertiary studies during the 2024 academic year.

2. Preference will be given to prospective and continuing students in the following fields:
** Chemical Engineering
** Mechanical Engineering
** Electrical Engineering
** Instrumentation Engineering

3.Applications are open to current and prospective students residing in the Wentworth, Jacobs and Bluff area, proof of residence will be required

4. Applicants must be South African citizens.

Note:
Applicants will be required to show proof of enrolment or proof of provisional acceptance to study at an accredited Tertiary Academic Institution during the 2024/2025 academic year.

How To Apply For SAFRIPOL Community Bursary?

1. Application forms can be requested via email at bursarydurban@safripol.com or collected from the following schools from the 15th of April 2024:

** Umbilo Secondary School
** Wentworth Secondary School
** Fairvale Secondary School

2. Completed applications with supporting documents can be submitted via email to bursarydurban@safripol.com before 30 June 2024

Note:
** All applicants meeting the above criteria will be evaluated based on their APS (Admission Point Score), current tertiary academic results (where applicable) and field of study.
** It is noted that not all applicants who meet the application criteria can be accommodated.
** Final funding will be provided once the successful applicants have been accepted at the tertiary academic institution of their choice for the year 2024.
** The awarding of Bursaries will be at the sole discretion of the Safripol Bursary Committee.

Documents Required For SAFRIPOL Community Bursary

Current Matric:
If you are entering your first tertiary academic year, please furnish the following documents.
** Certified copy of applicant ID
** Affidavit of Declaration of Dependency to Parent / Guardian
** Certified copy of Grade 11 report
** Certificate Certified copy of latest Grade 12 report*
** Acceptance letter from preferred tertiary education institution
** Proof of income of Parent / Guardian / Proof of SASSA
** Testimonial from Current High School
** Proof of residence

Continuing Student:
If you have completed at least 1 year of tertiary study and you have promoted to your next academic year, please furnish the following documents.
** Certified copy of applicant ID
** Affidavit of Declaration of Dependency
** Certified copy of Matric
** Certified copy of academic transcript
** Updated fee statement
** Proof of Enrolment for 2024 academic year
** Motivation Letter
** Proof of residence
