What is Vulamathuba Empumelelo Bursary?

Vulamathuba Empumelelo Bursary fund aims to offer financial aid to Communicare tenants and neighbouring communities in the City of Cape Town Metro who have academic potential yet are economically marginalised and looking to pursue a qualification described as a scarce skill. Candidates with a combined gross annual income of R350000 and below and are studying or aiming to study at an accredited institution including TVET colleges, are invited to seize this opportunity and apply for the bursary fund. Vulamathuba Empumelelo is excited to announce the extension of the Bursary applications to 31 January 2024.

Who Can Apply For Vulamathuba Empumelelo Bursary?

The VEBF will award the bursary fund to Communicare tenants in good standing and authorised residents.

We invite applications from candidates:
** Between 19 and 50 years of age
** With or without disabilities
** Employed or unemployed
** Wanting to study full-time or part-time
** In Grade 12, have completed Grade 12, and students at accredited higher education institutions.

To submit an application for the bursary, you will need to submit the following: ​Fully completed application form, together with supporting documents listed below.

1. Certified copy, not older than six months of:
** Identity document or Passport of the applicant.
** Permanent Residency Permit or Work Visa details if Non-South African citizen.
** Identity document, Passport, or Birth Certificate of a spouse, parents, guardians, and all other household members.
** Marriage Certificate if applicable.
** Bank statements for three months of applicant, spouse, parents, guardians, and all other household members.
** Death certificate if parent/s are deceased.
** An affidavit explaining circumstances if the applicant is supported by someone not a parent or legal guardian.
** Affidavit if applicant, parents, guardians, and any adult household members are unemployed.
** Administration order, Court order, Divorce order, and Maintenance order, if applicable.
** Proof of residence.
** Most recent, three months’ proof of ALL income of the applicant, spouse, parents, guardians, and all other household members.
** Proof of application/ registration with the tertiary institution or Letter of admission from the institution.
** Latest academic results or qualifications of the applicant
