What is SPIRITF Scholarship?
The Spirit Education Foundation is a nonprofit organisation that offers scholarships to economically disadvantaged high school scholars. Building our nation through education one scholar at a time, the Spirit Education Foundation offers financial support, mentorship, skills development and upliftment programme to all Spirit Scholars. Last date of scholarship application is 30th November 2023.

Who Can Apply For SPIRITF Scholarship?
** Grade 6 in 2023
** Gross Household income of less than R20 000 (before deductions)
** Achieved a code 6 or more for Mathematics, English Home
** Language and Natural Science
** Intend on applying to and attending one of our partnership High Schools
How To Apply For SPIRITF Scholarship?
The mentorship programme motivates scholars to achieve to the best of their ability academically and in all other aspects of their high school education, encouraging creativity, leadership and a good community awareness are some of the characteristics we nurture at SEF.

Financial Support included in the spirit scholarship:
** High school fees
** Payment towards academic support
** Contribution school uniform
** Contribution towards stationery
** Payment towards subject specific stationery (eg: EGD, art supplies)
Scholar Support:
Our mentorship programme uses an individualised approach to create an enrichment support plan that is tailored for a scholar’s specific needs. Individual and intentional communication allows for a proactive approach so that we can reach each and every scholar where they are at. We meet with scholars, families and schools on a regular basis to offer a holistic programme that assists with academics, emotional well-being and skills development whilst building relationship.

Spirit Education Foundation Mentorship programme
The SEF Mentorship Programme offers a holistic opportunity for Spirit scholars to receive individualistic skills development and support opportunities through a person-by-person approach. This programme is built upon the five pillars below.
Recruitment:
We recruit scholars that need this opportunity the most and show the greatest potential to succeed throughout their high school journey.
Financial Support:
Additional financial support above and beyond school fees, is determined on an individual basis based on the financial needs of each scholar and their family.
Scholar Support and Enrichment:
An individualized approach drives our scholar support and enrichment programme, meeting each scholar where they are and offering the necessary support and enrichment structures.
Communication:
SEF communicates with four key mentorship stakeholders; scholars, parents/caregivers, school coordinators and teachers. The purpose for communication is relationship building and the distribution of administrative information through various platforms.
Relationship Building:
A variety of events and interactive opportunities are held throughout the year to allow for meaningful engagement and relationship building with our scholars. The goal is for scholar relationships to last beyond the scholars 5-year high school journey with SEF.
