How Ackermans Lay-By Works?

1. Lay-by at any Ackermans store with your ID or driver’s licence
2. Pay a 10% deposit
3. Pay your lay-by over a three month period at any Ackermans store*. You’ll need your original lay-by till slip. When you make your last payment you’ll also need your ID/driver’s license.

5. Collect your items at the store where you started your lay-by. You’ll need your original lay-by till slip. Can’t collect yourself? Whoever collects on your behalf needs a letter of consent from you and a copy of your ID.*in your country.

Ackermans Lay-By Refunds

You’ll need the original lay-by till slip or your ID/driver’s license. Only the till slip holder can cancel a lay-by. You, the cashier and the manager will then sign the refund documents. You’ll receive a full refund on the money you’ve paid on a cancelled lay-by.

Ackermans Lay-By Terms & Conditions

** Lay-by deposit is 10% per purchase.
** The agreement expires on date of final payment or 3 months after commencement, whichever comes first.
** Lay-by goods shall remain the property of Ackermans until the final payment is made.
** This agreement requires regular payments.
** This agreement may be terminated by the purchaser at any time prior to the expiry date, whereby Ackermans will refund the money already paid in full.
** Should the agreement expire before full payment has been received, the purchaser will be entitled to a refund of the money already paid on an Ackermans Gift Card.
** Collection of lay-by goods may only be done by the purchaser. If you would like somebody else to collect your lay-by on your behalf please provide them with a signed letter of permission and a copy of your ID.

What Happens If I Cancel My Lay-Purchase?
Should you cancel your lay-by, you will be fully reimbursed and your items remain in the store.

Can I Collect My Lay-By At Another Store?
No. Lay-bys can only be taken from the original store.

Can I Send Someone Else To Collect My Lay-By?
Yes. Someone can else can collect a lay-by on your behalf if they have a copy of your ID and the lay-by slip.

Can I Collect A Lay-By With A Temporary ID/Affidavit?
Yes you can.
