What is IDC Bursary?

The Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa (IDC) invites qualifying learners who are currently in Grade 12 and intend to study during the 2023 academic year or current students who are already studying towards an undergraduate degree (1st Year to 3rd Year students) at a South African Public University or University of Technology to apply for the IDC Bursary. Student must be 16 years and older but not older than 25 years to apply.

Eligibility of IDC Bursary

Eligible Age:
Student must be 16 years and older but not older than 25 years to apply.

Matric Students:
Student must have achieved the total average of 75% and above and must be SA Citizen.

Tertiary Students:
Student must have achieved the total average of 65% and above and must be SA Citizen.

Value of IDC Bursary

The value of the IDC bursary for full-time undergraduate studies comprises of the following:

General Instructions

** Application together with the supporting documents must be uploaded
** Only application from south african citizens with a valid ID number, residing in the Republic Of South Africa and who qualify for admission to south african university or TVET (Technical Vocational Education and Training) college, and are not studying with the aid of the employer or bursary.
** If you are already studying towards a degree course for which you are applying for a bursary, you must have passed all courses for which you have registered at the university for the study period already completed.
** Application must be for full time studies towards an academic degree at an accredited south african university of technology.
** No bursaries are awarded for studies at a college e.g. (Damelin , Boston, etc.) or private university
