How It Works?

Apple Pay uses proprietary Near Field Communication (NFC) technologies to make contactless mobile payments. This means that you can make a secure contactless payment virtually anywhere on any contactless enabled payment terminal.

Setup process :
Depending on your device you can set up Apple Pay by selecting any of the following methods
** FNB App
** Watch
** iPhone or iPad
** Mac

How to Use?

Steps:
Step 1 : ‘Add Virtual Card’ in the Cards tab
Step 2 : ‘Create Virtual Card’, add nickname and ‘Continue’
Step 3 : Add Virtual Card to Apple Wallet and select ‘Finish’

1. Where c 1 an a customer use Apple Pay?
Apple Pay should work in stores where the Apple Pay mark or contactless payment symbol is displayed. Not all point-of-sale terminals may be setup correctly to accept contactless/Apple Pay.

Apple Pay can also be used when shopping online, customers must be on the lookout for the Apple Pay symbol.

2. How do I pay with Apple Pay?
Unlock your device, verify by Face/TouchID and then tap to POS device within 60 seconds. For more detailed instructions go to https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201239

3. How many cards can be added to Apple Pay?
Twelve cards can be added on iPhone and Apple Watch; and eight cards on all other devices. The same card can be added to multiple unique devices.

4. Can I add my cards to my child’s Apple device?
Apple Pay is disabled on iPads for education or if a child is on a family iCloud account and is under 13 years old.

5. How long will my cards be valid for in the Wallet?
The digital version of your physical card will be valid for another 3 years after your physical card expires

6. What happens if I can’t complete my registration or I don’t get an OTP?
Please phone our FNB Online Secure call centre at 0870 30 30 30.

7. Why was my transaction declined?
If an Apple Pay transaction is declined, please contact the FNB team via Secure Chat® on the FNB App or our call centre.

8. Is transaction history available on Apple Watch?
No, transaction history is not available on Apple Watch, only inside the Watch App or on the FNB App

9. How many transactions are displayed in transaction history?
Ten transactions for credit and debit cards on Apple Wallet, but all transactions can be viewed on the FNB App.

10. Can I only use my Virtual Card for Apple Pay?
All FNB Visa cards (with the exception of the business credit card) are supported for Apple Pay, but to enjoy the best digital experience and for more secure payments, the FNB Virtual Card is recommended to use for Apple Pay.
