Our COVID-19 Vaccination Navigator will guide you through these steps of your journey
Step 1 : Get vaccine ready and register for your vaccination
Register for your vaccination on Discovery’s COVID-19 Vaccination Portal and you will automatically be registered on the national Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS) to make the process easier for you.
Once you have registered we will support you with all the information you need at every step of your vaccination journey.
Important :
Once you have registered yourself, remember to help your older loved ones or anyone who may find the digital registration process challenging to register for their vaccination.
Step 2 : Prepare for your vaccine
What to wear and other important details for your vaccination day.
Step 3 : Get your vaccination
On the day of your vaccination, here is what you can expect :
** Make sure you have your appointment confirmation from the EVDS, V4HCW or Discovery, identity document or passport, and medical scheme membership card on hand. It is important to note that you will still be able to register if you do not belong to a medical scheme.
** Once you have registered, you will be seated in our waiting area. Please stay seated until it’s your turn to be vaccinated.
** Move to your vaccination station where you will complete a short pre-vaccination medical questionnaire and grant consent to be vaccinated. The vaccinator will then administer your vaccine.
** Relax in our observation area and enjoy the podcasts, videos and other content we have curated for you to enjoy. You will need to remain here for a minimum of 15 minutes, and we’ll let you know when you are able to leave.
Step 4 : Post-vaccination support
Please give us your feedback in the post-vaccination assessment on the Discovery COVID-19 Vaccination Navigator.
This will help us give you support and guidance if you are experiencing mild, moderate or severe side effects – including how to manage these, and when you should consult your doctor.
