Chief Community Development Officer :
Requirements :
** National Diploma or Degree in Human Sciences.
** Three (3) to five (5) years experience in Social facilitation of community projects (Especially Water and Sanitation).

** Project/Programme management skills.
** Good communication skills.
** Proven record on project facilitation.
** Knowledge in Financial Management.
** Knowledge of relationship/ conflict management.
** Problem solving and analysis.
** Knowledge on sanitation policies and guidelines.
** People and diversity management.
** Client orientation and customer care.
** Be able to communicate at least 2(two) languages spoken in the Eastern Cape.
Knowledge of relevant legislation :
** National Water Act and Water Services Act;
** Good written and verbal communication skills,
** Computer literacy preferably in MS Excel,
** MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
** A valid driver’s license.
Duties :
** Monitor the implementation of the Departmental (sector) Sanitation set Norms & Standards Project and Programme management of the Sanitation projects within the Sanitation services projects.
** Assist and support the Water Services Authorities in the pre-planning and planning of the sanitation projects.
** Facilitate support within the Water Services Authorities on Health and Hygiene programme.
** Attend all water services sector meetings.
** Manage the implementation Institutional sanitation projects.
** Represent the Department on sector engagements and advise on sanitation policies and guidelines.
** Liaison with other sector Departments on the infrastructure development programmes.
** Monitor the implementation of sanitation project and ensure that Health & Hygiene education is done.
** Monitor and evaluate the implementation of sanitation projects, Produce analytical reports which reflect Sanitation services projects progress against intended targets.
