Enrollment Procedures

Documents that must be completed includes :
** Conditions of Acceptance & General Information.
** Copies of school reports, and a birth certification, must be submitted.

** Interviews currently taking place.
** Admission to Kloof High School is officially confirmed by means of an Acceptance Letter signed by the Principal.
** Applications close on 30 March 2018.

School Fees

Fees Compulsory – 2018 :
** The school fees for 2018 recommended by the Governing Body and approved by parents at the Annual General Meeting held in November 2017 is R41,223.60 for Grade 8, and R38,223.60 for Grades 9 to 12.

Discounts (for all Grades) :
** On the full fee the discount will be R 3822.36 per child if paid by 31 December 2017. On the full fee the discount will be R 2866.77 per child if paid by 31 January 2018. On the full fee the discount will be R 1911.18 per child if paid by 28 February 2018.

** Accordingly, the discount for two students from the same family will be doubled.

** For the third subsequent student from the same family (whose fees for the third and subsequent student are already discounted by 50%) the discount for payment by 31 December 2017 will be R 1911.18, by 31 January 2018 will be R 1433.38 and by 28 February 2018 will be R 955.59 per third and subsequent student.

** Scholarship fees are discounted in proportion to the value of the scholarship as per policy documentation.

School Insurance

** All parents are encouraged to make use of the very reasonable student insurance administered by Alexander Forbes.
** The premiums are: Rugby (R715); Boys (R325), Girls (R208) and cover students to and from school, on the sports field, and school recognised excursions.

About Us :
Kloof High School was founded in 1960. This being after two parents of school-going children, Mr Grant Loudon and Professor Desmond Clarence, did a statistical survey in 1959 in order to establish the need for a high school in the upper Highway area.

The school opened in 1960 with 127 pupils, on a temporary site which is now the top playing field for the Kloof Senior Primary School. In order to make the school viable, Standard 4 and 5 pupils were also housed on this site and were included in the total of 127 pupils.
