** This form is to be attached to the standard Admission Application form for all candidates applying from outside of HeronBridge Preparatory.
** The closing date for Applications to be submitted has been extended to Thursday, 28th February 2018.

Conditions & Criteria

1. Conditions And Criteria For Awarding The Heronbrige College Scholarship :
1.1. The writing of HeronBridge Scholarships is open to any current Grade 7 student. Scholarship Examinations will be written on Saturday, 10th March 2018.

1.2. Prior/after the writing of the Scholarship Examinations on Saturday, 10th March 2018, invited candidates will be required to have an interview meeting with either the Head or a Deputy Head of the College.

1.3. HeronBridge Scholarships will be awarded to deserving candidates as determined by the Scholarship Committee of the College.
1.4. Any decision made will be considered final and no correspondence will be entered into with any applicant.

1.5. The Scholarship Committee will determine in each case:
1.5.1. The period of the Scholarship
1.5.2. The amount of the Scholarship
1.5.3. Any particular qualifying conditions

1.6. The conditions are to be met and sustained by the candidate to whom the Scholarship is awarded. This will be evaluated through:
1.6.1. Due processing of the application and assessment;

1.6.2. An annual review by the Scholarship Committee (by the end of July each year in order to meet the requirement of a term’s notice should the Scholarship be discontinued for any reason and the parents wish to change enrolment).

1.7. Any deliberately misleading information will disqualify the applicant.

Documentation Required

4.1. The most recent academic report.
4.2. Any other supporting documentation or testimonials will be welcomed.

Please Note :
** This form must be accompanied by a non-refundable registration fee of R450.00 per child and a copy of the child’s ID or birth certificate.
** Your child’s name will then be placed on the waitlist – please note that payment of the registration fee does not guarantee placement.

** Pre-Prep applicants will be interviewed by the Head. Prep and College applicants – reports will be assessed by the executive. Should there be a need, an informal assessment will be conducted. Successful applicants will then be invited for an interview with the Head.

** Once the application has been accepted we will require a deposit equal to one term’s fees to secure your place. This deposit will be forfeited – and not refunded – by those who do not take up places awarded to them. However, it is fully refundable once your child has started at HeronBridge provided that you give a full term’s notice, i.e.: on the first day of a school term The deposit will be increased annually to keep it in line with the current term’s school fees.

** I/We acknowledge that by signing this document , I/we consent to the college conducting whatever enquiries may be considered necessary to verify any information given in this application, including confirming my/our credit rating with a national credit bureau, and contact with previous schools of my/our child.
