Greyhound 20% Discount Promotion :
1. Only tickets bought using your Capitec card from 1 February – 11 March 2018, for travel on Greyhound or Citiliner bus services between 1 February – 30 April 2018, will be eligible for the 20% discount.

** Any other dates of travel will receive the standard 15% discount and will be subject to the standard Live Better Benefits terms and conditions

2. The discount only applies to purchases made directly with Greyhound online, through the Greyhound call centre or at Greyhound kiosks; no discount shall be applied for purchases from retailers

3. Your Capitec card must be registered for online shopping (“activated Capitec card”) in order to make use of this benefit online or through the call centre. Use our app to activate this functionality on your card, or visit a branch

4. Any queries regarding the service that you purchase must be escalated to Greyhound and not to Capitec
5. By making use of the services you agree to the standard terms and conditions of use of the services

6. You hereby indemnify Capitec from any loss or damage which you may suffer as a result of your use of the service
7. Capitec disclaims all liability which may arise as a result of your use of the service

How To Enter

** Buy a ticket from Greyhound online, through the Greyhound call centre or at a Greyhound kiosk with your activated Capitec card from 1 February – 11 March 2018 for travel on

Competition Rules

1. The name of the competition is “Live Better with Greyhound” and Capitec Bank is the promoter of the competition

2. The competition runs from 1 February – 11 March 2018 (“competition period”) and the competition closes on Sunday, 11 March 2018 at midnight
3. The prize vouchers are sponsored by Greyhound and vouchers are subject to Greyhound’s standard terms and conditions of use of the service and bookings are subject to availability

4. The competition is open to natural persons :
4.1. who are citizens of, and living in, the Republic of South Africa, and

4.2. who used their activated Capitec card to purchase a ticket from Greyhound online, through the Greyhound call centre or at a Greyhound kiosk, during the competition period for travel on Greyhound or Citiliner bus services between 1 February – 30 April 2018. In the event that a Capitec cardholder buys a Greyhound or Citiliner ticket for another traveller, that traveller’s name and number is captured on the qualifying ticket. In this event, only the traveller whose name is on the ticket is entered into the competition draw and such entrant will be contacted, in the event that they win a prize.

5. The R500 voucher will be valid for travel anytime in 2018
6. The traveller’s name on the ticket will be entered into the competition if tickets are used as in 4.2 above. This will be considered a valid entry into the competition prize draw

7. All valid entries will be collated for entry into a random draw for the 5 x R500 Greyhound voucher winners. All winners will be randomly selected by a computer-programmed algorithm on Friday, 15 March 2018

8. All winners will be contacted telephonically within 5 business days after the draw and the details on how to redeem their prize will be given thereafter

9. We may require the winners to share their experience on their own social media pages. The winners will be given the opportunity to decline this option
10. The prizes are not transferable and may not be redeemed for cash

11. Your entry into the competition and/or your acceptance of the prize (in the event that you win a prize) constitutes your binding acceptance of the competition rules
12. You may not win a prize if it is unlawful for us to supply such a prize to you. If you do win such a prize, you will forfeit it. You must be eligible to win the prize

13. You must possess whatever documents and permissions that may be required in order to accept and use a prize, which documents and permissions it is your responsibility to obtain at your own cost, and which documents and permissions must remain valid in such minimum form

14. We will not be responsible, and disclaim all liability, for any loss, liability, injury, expense or damage (whether direct, indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential) of any nature, whether arising from negligence or any other cause, which is suffered by your participation in the competition or the acceptance and/or use by you, of any prize, or by any actiontaken by us or any of our affiliates in accordance with the competition rules

15. If you fail to comply with any of the competition rules, then without prejudice to any other remedy which we may have, you will be automatically disqualified and you will forfeit the prize(s) (in the event that you have already won a prize)

16. Our decision is final and no further correspondence will be entered into

17. We reserve the right to vary, postpone, suspend or cancel the competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which we deem necessary. In the event of such variation, postponement, suspension or cancellation, you agree to waive any rights, interests and expectations that you may have in terms of this competition and acknowledge that you will have no recourse against us, our affiliates and third-party suppliers

18. We accept no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage to goods or personal injury suffered as a result of participating in or winning any prize, and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of using, applying or enjoying the prize won in this competition

19. The competition is not open to any person who is a director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of Capitec Bank or others involved in organising the competition
20. The competition rules will be construed, interpreted and enforced in.
