Who Can Enter
** The promotion is open for entry by all South African residents over the age of 18 years and in possession of a valid identity document.
** The promotion is not open to any director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Promoters, the marketing service providers or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by these entities, including their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.
** Participants agree to receive future marketing material from the Promoters. The participants can unsubscribe and request the Promoters to delete their information by contacting Consumer Services Division, on telephone number 0860 100 290 or at tigercsd AT tigerbrands.com during office hours.
** By participating in this promotion, the participant authorises the Promoters to collect, store and use (not share) personal information of participants for communication and statistical purposes.
Competition Period
** This promotion starts on 02 January 2018 and closes on 11 February 2018 at 23:59.
** Any Albany Superior loaves purchased after 11 February 2018 will not form part of this promotion and such purchase will be deemed to be void and invalid for purposes of this promotion.
** The promotionmay be terminated or extended at any time at the sole discretion of the Promoters.
How To Enter
** To participate in the promotion, a consumer must buy a loaf of Albany Superior bread at a Shoprite Checkers store.
** The promotion works as follows: Over the past few years, Albany has partnered with Shoprite Checkers to provide 3,5 million meals annually to children in need via the Shoprite Soup Kitchen.
** For this promotion, Albany and Shoprite Checkers have committed to increase the contribution by 1.5 Million meals to 5 Million meals (to be provided between 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2018) to children in need, if a sales target of 5 million loaves in the period 02 January 2018 to 11 February 2018 is achieved.
** By purchasing any Albany loaf in Shoprite Checkers in the stated period, shoppers will assist Albany and Shoprite Checkers to achieve this target.
** If this sales target is achieved, Albany and Shoprite Checkers will provide 5million meals to children in need for the period 01 January 2018 and 31 December 2018.
** These meals are provided via the Shoprite Soup Kitchen, The Lunch Box Fund and Shoprite Checkers Act for Change beneficiaries.
Prize
** The prize to be won is 1 (one) of 10 (ten) cash prizes to the value of R10, 000 (Ten thousand rand only) towards a feeding scheme at a previously disadvantaged school. 10 (ten) prizes will be given to participants that purchased Albany Superior from Any Spar outlet.
** The prize money must be donated to a feeding scheme of a previously disadvantaged school in South Africa. The winner will be required to select and notify the Promoters, in writing, the school they intend to donate the money to. The Promoters will procure the prize and pay the money into the school’s selected bank account. The prize money paid to each school may not exceed R10 000.
** The winners will be selected at a random draw by the Promoters and observing auditors during the period of 16 February 2018 and 28 February 2018.
A qualifying school will need to meet the following criteria :
** The selected school should be a public school in any of the townships within the Republic of South Africa. If the winner is unable to nominate a school, the promoter shall suggest a school for the winner.
** The R10 000 prize money may only be used towards the selected school’s feeding scheme, feeding-related and/ or nutritional programme.
** The Promoters cannot be held responsible for any prize money paid into the incorrect bank account as long as the banking details in which the money was paid into has been specified by the school selected by the winner.
** The prizes do not cover any other costs of the winner whatsoever such as additional bank fees.
Terms & Conditions
** The Promoters shall have the right to change or terminate the promotion immediately and without notice if deemed necessary, in its own discretion and if circumstances arise outside of their control. In the event of such change or termination, all participants agree to waive any rights that they have in respect of this promotion and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoters or its agents.
** Neither the Promoters nor its agents, its associated companies, any director, officer or employee, shall be liable for any loss or damages, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the participant from their participation in this promotion.
** All Participants participate entirely at their own risk. By reading and accepting these rules, the participants give consent to these risks and hereby indemnify and hold harmless the Promoters, their directors, employees and agents of any and all liability pertaining to any damage, cost, injuries and losses of whatever nature sustained as a result of their participation in this promotion and related events and activities, save where such damage, cost, injuries and losses are sustained as a result of the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of the Promoters.
** By participating in this promotion, all participants accept and agree to abide by these rules.
** The judge’s decision will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
