** Our client – a multi national in the financial services industry is looking for skilled Java Developers with the following skills to join their team on a fixed term contract with a high possibility of being extended.
Objective :
** Analyse technical specifications, design and development of new product solutions. This must be done in support of the clients business and product strategies, according to their standards and methodologies.
Competencies :
** C/C++ programming experience
** Java programming/System experience in Financial and/or Message Switching Environments
** Experience in Linux/Unix, MySQL, Oracle, Perl, Bash scripting , HP Nonstop, OSS, SQL/MX and Guardian OS
** Servers e.g. JBOSS, IBM WebSphere
** Fact finding methods & problem solving, and a understanding of TCP/IP protocols
Qualifications and experience :
** Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology would be advantageous
** 5 years + of IT experience in programming & problem solving within a Non/Stop Mainframe environment.
** Exposure to the banking or financial industry would be advantageous
** Oracle databases knowledge and Perl/Bash scripting will be advantageous.
** Knowledge to payment systems will be advantageous
