What is SAIV National Bursary?

South African Institute of Valuers (SAIV) invites an application for National Bursary 2025. Students studying towards a property valuation qualification can apply for this Bursary. Students busy with Post Graduate studies may also apply. The bursary will be paid directly to the educational institution once awarded for the credit of the student’s account. Last date of application is 31st October 2024.

Eligibility of SAIV National Bursary

** The student must be studying towards a property valuation qualification.
** Academic status to be submitted – subject to completion of 3 first year subjects.
** Quotation from the academic institution to be submitted together with the bursary amount required.
** The course must be accredited by the SACPVP.
** Students busy with Post Graduate studies may also apply.

How To Apply For SAIV National Bursary?

Application form must be accompanied by an initial quote from the accredited tertiary institution. Application form to be submitted to the General Manager’s Office. Thereafter the Branch to approve application and forward to Natex Education Committee soon after approval during last Branch meeting. Branch to ensure that the previous results and general performance of the applicants were to the satisfaction of the approving branch

Documents Required For SAIV National Bursary

The following documents must be attached to the application:
** Certified copy of ID
** Certified copy of matric certificate
** Proof of registration with the educational institution
** Account for the fees for enrolled subjects
** Academic progress report/results of the previous year
** Subjects still outstanding after completion of the current academic year

General Conditions:
1. The student must be a South African Citizen.
2. The student must be registered with a tertiary institution that is recognised and accredited by the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession.
3. The recipient must be studying towards a property valuation qualification.
4. The student must have successfully completed the 1st year and be entering the 2nd year of study. (1st year subjects passed must be valuation related.)
5. Students busy with Post Graduate studies may also apply.
6. The applicant must be a member of the South African Institute of Valuers.
7. The student should not be in receipt of any other study allowance, grant, donation or another bursary
8. The student must be in need of financial assistance.
9. The completed application must be submitted to the Branch Executive of the student for their consideration and recommendation.
10. The bursary amount applied for must be provided.

Selection Process of SAIV National Bursary

** Branch receives bursary application form from the GM.
** General Manager’s Office circulates application form to Branch Executive Members for review/comments.
** Branch Executive Members sets up an interview with the applicant. The Chairman, Vice-Chairman and representative of the Membership and Education committees to attend (3).
** Interview feedback with recommendation to support/not support circulated to Branch Executive Members for vote/decision.
** Section F of the application form to be completed and returned to the GM Office for Natex approval.
