What is Golden Valley Wind Farm Bursary?

Golden Valley Wind Farm Bursary is only open to applicants Born/Living/Schooled within 50km of the Golden Valley Wind Farm, from the Eastern Cape communities of Adelaide, Bedford, Cookhouse or Somerset East. Bursaries will be awarded in line with the Employment Equity plan of the organisation. Applications open on Tuesday, 01 October 2024.

Who Can Apply For Golden Valley Wind Farm Bursary?

Applicants must be:
** South African citizens
** Born/Living/Schooled within 50km of the Golden Valley Wind Farm , from the Eastern Cape communities of Adelaide, Bedford, Cookhouse or Somerset East.
** In 2024; be studying matric or on a gap-year after matric in 2023/2022/2021
** In 2025; be studying for a SAQA-registered tertiary qualification
** Belong to a BBBEE racial designated group (Black, Coloured, Indian, etc)
** Studying full-time (2025 onwards).
** Studying at any DHET/SAQA-recognized tertiary school/university/college.
** Unemployed (not working full-time in 2025 or during any year while on the bursary),
** Students with other bursaries/NSFAS will have to terminate their other funding contracts if they want to accept an offer of this bursary

Note:
Have applied to study in 2025 or have already been accepted for registration in 2025. Bursaries are offered only for studies leading to SAQA-registered higher certificates, diplomas, degrees or equivalent NQF-rated qualifications. Bursaries will be awarded in line with the Employment Equity plan of the organisation.

Do not qualify for the bursary

Optional Docs:
** If Applicable – Disability? Dept of Labour Employment Equity Act (EEA1) Form AND a Doctors’ Letter *
** If Applicable – Did you get funded by another bursary/NSFAS?; upload your bursary agreement/letter/offer*
** If Applicable – A copy of 2025 acceptance letter from an accredited institution. – Official letter showing you’ve been accepted (even provisionally) to study the qualification in 2025*

Note:
For applicants under the age of 18, to comply with POPI regulations a signed consent form completed by your parent/legal guardian along with a certified copy of their proof of identity is required.
