About Sasria:
We provide special risk insurance to government institutions such as municipalities, hospitals, schools, among many others, private organisations and individuals that own assets within the borders of South Africa. Our special risk insurance is affordable, voluntary and covers your valuables damaged during unforeseen public unrest, civil commotion, strikes, riots and terrorism.

Sasria is a public enterprise listed under schedule 3B of the Public Finance Management Act No 1 of 1999. We are a non-life insurance company that provides coverage for damage caused by special risks such as politically motivated malicious acts, riots, strikes, terrorism and public disorders.

Our journey began over 40 years ago, after becoming inspired by courageous young people who shaped the course of history for South Africans through a series of demonstrations and protests known as the 1976 Soweto Uprising. View our milestones.

We are an organisation that is proud of the rich culture, heritage and diversity we have in our country. We believe that our country has enormous potential to thrive despite its challenges. In saying that, we prioritise distributing value first and foremost to our clients, then to South Africans through our socio-economic development activities and our employees by providing job security, professional growth, and career opportunities.

Our insurance protection solutions are affordable to ensure that our country continues to be an attractive investment destination that delivers economic continuity and social stability for all South African businesses and individuals, at large.
