Samsung Pay is a convenient and simple way to make mobile payments with compatible Samsung Galaxy smartphones, and it works at virtually any retailer where you can tap or swipe. Retailers still reserves the right to accept or decline contactless phone payments.

Samsung Pay offers a simple and convenient payment experience that is quicker than searching through your wallet or purse for your payment card. Additionally, Samsung Pay adds a level of security to your payment information that physical cards do not have.

How To Use Samsung Pay?

Samsung Pay provides simplicity from installation, loading of your bank and loyalty cards to the moment you first use it at your favourite store. Make life endlessly better in 4 easy steps.

Activate:
Download it from the Samsung Galaxy Apps store. Then, sign in to your Samsung account.

Lock down security:
Scan your fingerprint or enter a pin, so you can authenticate future purchases.

Add a card:
Snap a picture of your card and complete details where necessary.

Use Samsung Pay:
Head over to your favourite store and see how easy it is to check out.

Just a swipe away from all your loyalty cards:
With your Galaxy phone in hand, you now have all your loyalty cards wherever you go. Simply load your favourite loyalty cards on Samsung Pay and they are always just a swipe away. To set up, simply scan the code on your card.It’s that easy.

New Discovery Visa cards issued by Discovery Bank (Launched on 25 March 2019). Investec Credit and Debit cards. Nedbank Credit, Cheque and Debit cards from Mastercard, Visa, American Express and British Airways credit cards. Capitec Bank Credit and Debit cards. HBZ Bank Limited Debit cards.

Samsung Pay uses proprietary Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) and Near Field Communication (NFC) technologies to make contactless mobile payments.

Can Samsung Pay make online purchases?
Currently you can use Samsung Pay to make online payments in the Samsung Galaxy App and Samsung Theme stores only. Please ensure your payment card is enabled for online payments.

Can I use Samsung Pay in foreign countries?
Please check your banks policies for transacting in foreign countries.

Where can I use Samsung Pay?
Samsung Pay devices with MST and NFC can be used almost anywhere. With our propriety Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) technology a merchant that does not have a contactless payment terminal can still accept Samsung Pay. Merchants can at their sole discretionary choose to accept or decline a Samsung Pay transaction. All Samsung wearables are NFC only and therefore can only pay on contactless terminals.
